Georgia law changes, and mistakes happen. When either one affects a guide on Legal Laws GA, we fix it quickly and say so on the page.
How to report an error
Use our contact page. Tell us which page is wrong, what it says, and the O.C.G.A. section, court decision or agency rule that shows the right answer. A link to the official source helps us move fastest.
What we do next
- We check the claim against the primary source.
- If the guide is wrong or out of date, we correct it, usually within two business days.
- We add a dated line to the guide’s “What changed on this page” section that says what was fixed.
- If a correction changes the short answer at the top of a guide, we say so plainly in that log.
Updates versus corrections
An update means the law itself changed, for example a new act taking effect on July 1. A correction means we got something wrong. We label both so you can tell the difference. Our editorial policy explains how guides are researched in the first place.
